Financial support, product donation and employee volunteerism contribute to company’s disaster relief efforts

Baxter Healthcare Pty Ltd, one of Australia’s largest diversified healthcare companies, announced its efforts to aid relief in the midst of Australia’s bushfire emergency. The unprecedented disaster across Australia has devastated local communities and resulted in the loss of lives and the destruction of homes and national parks. Baxter employees have united to support disaster relief efforts and the Baxter International Foundation has pledged $100,000 to the Australian Red Cross.
Baxter’s donation to the Australian Red Cross will support relief efforts such as temporary accommodation for displaced residents, delivery of essential food and water to communities cut off by fires, and medical aid to volunteer firefighters and burn victims. The funds may also assist the rebuilding of hundreds of homes and businesses destroyed or damaged in the fires. In addition, Baxter’s local employees are leading fundraising and donation campaigns to support volunteer emergency services personnel fighting fires and caring for impacted wildlife, while also working to ensure patients and clinicians have continued access to Baxter’s life-sustaining products.
