Gender equality at Baxter Australia

“Baxter proudly supports both men and women in their pursuit to achieve a balance between work and family responsibilities. Our employees access programs such as paid parental leave, flexible work arrangements, pay equality and a safe work environment.

“We recently introduced a family violence policy to enable employees to take additional paid leave during instances of domestic violence, These practices not only ensure our compliance to government requirements and legislation, but support one of our goals to be a great place to work.”

Steve Flynn, General Manager Baxter ANZ

The Australian Government’s Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) recently confirmed Baxter Healthcare in Australia complies with its policies on Gender Equality.

Last year, the WGEA awarded an Employer of Choice citation to Baxter for our overall approach to gender equality and for creating an inclusive work culture within the company.

What drives our approach to Gender Equality
The underlying belief driving Baxter’s approach is that managers and employees have a shared responsibility in creating a culture that achieves a healthy blend of work, personal and family life.

Baxter in Australia has a number of policies which support this approach. They include:
