Westmead Medical Research Foundation
Baxter launched a Making a Meaningful Fund on its 75th anniversary – 19 October 2006 – as part of its annual Making a Meaningful Difference Day celebrations.
The Making a Meaningful Difference Fund is used to support projects which make a difference to the lives of patients in hospital. The fund is supported by a grant from Baxter as well as fundraising activities undertaken by Baxter teams.
In 2006, WMRF was chosen as the recipient of the Fund.
The first project has provided headphones to palliative care patients in Westmead hospital so that they are able to watch television without disturbing other patients.
